How We Calculate — Methodology & Data Sources

TaxCalc.pk's tax slabs and rates are sourced directly from FBR's official Finance Act notifications, covering FY 2025-26 and FY 2026-27. All data is reviewed by Syed Asad Hussain Zaidi, Advocate & Tax Consultant.

Primary source: Gazette of Pakistan, Finance Act 2026 (published 26 June 2026)
Cross-reference: FBR IRIS portal (iris.fbr.gov.pk) and official SROs
PTA rates: FBR customs valuation rulings for mobile devices (updated June 2026)

Calculation Methodology

FBR applies each slab rate only to the portion of income that falls within that bracket. For example, if your income is Rs. 3,000,000:

Rs. 600,000 taxed at 0% = Rs. 0
Rs. 600,000 taxed at 1% = Rs. 6,000
Rs. 1,000,000 taxed at 11% = Rs. 110,000
Total tax = Rs. 116,000 (effective rate ~3.9%)
